School Sector
- Government explore use of open source software in the first instance rather than proprietary tools
- Government mandate guidelines that systems should be able to perform on all platforms proprietary and open source
- mixture of software and hardware eg iphones, laptops, whiteboards
- central procurement should only be done to deliver advantage not control
- it purchases made on pedagogy evidence not convenient ones for IT support, dollars or vendor lock in.
